Liam is growing like a weed. A cute, cuddly, very very smiley weed. He is easily one of the happiest babies I've ever seen. Unless it's naptime/bedtime and he's not asleep when he wants to be, he is just all smiles and giggles. Pretty much all you have to do is maintain eye contact long enough (with a smile of your own, of course) and he'll give you all sorts of flirty smiles. Of course, he wouldn't smile for me when I wanted to take a 3 month picture of him--and my batteries in my camera died completely after I snapped a couple quick shots, so I didn't have time to coax a smile out of him.
To celebrate turning 3 months old on Sunday he rolled over from his tummy onto his back. I was also hoping for some sort of exciting sleep milestone about which to blog as well, but no such luck at all this week. He has increased his average nap length from 30 minutes to ~45, but night sleep hasn't been very impressive for the last couple weeks. Granted, getting up with him 2-3 times between 7:30 and 5, and then bringing him to bed with me until 7-8 is a whole lot better than where we were with Michael at 3 months; but he's had several nights with 6+ hour stretches, and I'd really just love for that to become regular.
Michael is an absolute champ of a big brother. For the most part he's very gentle with and affectionate towards Liam (and I realize that for a 2 year old those two things often don't go together). Liam already adores his big brother, and if I ever get my act together and get video from my camera onto the computer I have a really cute video of the two of them laughing together to post.
