Oh, is it Friday again already? Good thing... Alex had Monday (Presidents' Day) and yesterday (snow day) off, and whenever he works a shorter week I feel like those days I do have alone with the kiddos are that much longer and harder... Not that I prefer a full work-week, of course.
And Michael is significantly less likely to try to fit his little two-year-old bottom into it when it is already occupied by his brother.
When we do finally buy a house, I'm starting to think we definitely need new appliances. Mostly for the boxes. And then we won't need any new furniture, because all the rooms will be full of box buildings. Hey, if the toddler is entertained, I'm happy.
Finally, have you read about these eight new punctuation marks? I totally agree... only there should probably be nine--we also need some sort of blame the hormones mark. I think husbands--heck, men in general--would probably appreciate that one, don't you?

I can't decide if the days go slower or faster when complete diaper blow-outs somehow hijack two hours of the afternoon. First you have to get the clothes off the wriggling infant without getting it absolutely everywhere, then he needs a bath because more of him is covered in the mess than not, then the big brother needs a bath because baths are his favorite, and the clothes need to be pre-treated and rinsed out so they're not stained beyond usability, and once you've done all that and gotten two squirming boys dried and lotioned and dressed... oh look, time for Daddy to come home!

The extra days off have allowed us to work on establishing a new family tradition: my merciless beating of Alex at Settlers of Catan. I think I might have to let him win this weekend just so he keeps playing with me. With just the two of us we can usually get a quick game in after both boys are in bed (Michael would like to play, but he isn't nearly as helpful as he thinks he is)--and I think I've won every game this week...

Michael is still thoroughly enjoying his new house, while his parents wait (not so) patiently for a new house big enough for the four of us. More on that later. Maybe. Probably.

Liam is also enjoying the house. Okay, maybe he doesn't really care. But he is enjoying his Bumbo, as of yesterday.
And Michael is significantly less likely to try to fit his little two-year-old bottom into it when it is already occupied by his brother.
